The Extruded Polystyrene Foam Association
(XPSA) is a trade association representing manufacturers
of Extruded Polystyrene Foam (XPS) insulation products and its raw
material suppliers.
XPSA members collectively manufacture more than
95% of all XPS sold in the North American market.
XPSA promotes the benefits that accrue to society
from appropriate use of XPS foam insulation applications.
To achieve its objectives, XPSA “SPEAK”s
as it:
Sponsors
programs designed to educate about the performance benefits of XPS
products—especially its excellent energy efficiency properties.
These properties distinguish XPS from all other insulations due
to its superb ability to resist water moisture absorption without
the need for facers or laminates.
Participates
in the development of voluntary consensus standards;and
Engages
in industry-wide technical research;
Advocates
in various building code-development forums;
Keeps
markets open by acting as the industry’s spokesperson in legislative,
regulatory, technical, and promotional matters relating to XPS products
and its markets.
